Prolific children's author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.

A spokesman for the firm commented: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the move was reached following an review of allegations of questionable actions involving female individuals.

The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."

A Prolific Writing Journey

Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.

A number of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.

His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.

A Dual Career

His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.

This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
